Editor’s Foreword
Nearly five years after returning to the States from London, I found myself craving the same thing I was searching for in those first quiet, disorienting months back. Not another routine. Not another obligation. A sense of cultural conversation. A community of women who were curious, thoughtful, evolving, and not interested in shrinking themselves into whatever version of life felt easiest.
SILK + SALT grew from that need. While it’s rooted in Sarasota, its perspective is not confined to it. It’s for women anywhere who want more than surface-level living. Women who care about style, but also substance. Those who want to feel connected to ideas, to culture, to places beyond their immediate surroundings.
This is the space I couldn’t find when I came back. So I built it.
